When you create a WinRed donor account, you save your credit card to make donating to your favorite campaigns and candidates easy. Check out the instructions below on how to update your payment method.
Updating your Payment Method
First, log in to your account at https://app.winred.com/profile.
Next, click Card in your profile.
Next, click the Edit button on the credit card icon.
Add your card number, security code, and expiration date. Lastly, click Save.
Your new payment method has been saved to your WinRed account!
Updating a Payment Method for a Recurring Subscription
If you currently have a recurring subscription and update your payment method, it does not automatically switch the recurring charge to the new card.
To switch out your payment method on a subscription, you'll need to cancel your old recurring payment and start a brand-new subscription with your new card.
Once you've canceled your old recurring payment, you can start a new recurring payment by going to winred.com and searching for the candidate you'd like to donate to.
Please Note: In order to have a WinRed account, it is required that you have a saved credit card on file to make it quick and easy for you to donate in the future. If you do not wish to have your card saved on your account, you'll need to close your account.
Closing your WinRed Account
To close your WinRed account, head to your user settings. Click the Account tab and scroll to the bottom of the page. Here you will see an option to close your account. Click close Account and confirm the action in the pop up, and you are done.
Please note: that you will need to cancel your subscriptions before you close your account. If you close the account without canceling your subscriptions, they will still recur as they did before.
