How to set up a NationBuilder Integration on WinRed

Updated over 8 months ago

WinRed offers a direct integration with NationBuilder to help send origin data directly from your WinRed account to your NationBuilder account.

Set up the Integration

Click the green Add Integration button and select NationBuilder from the menu.

The name of this integration varies depending on the type of WinRed account you are using. If using a conduit account, it will display as NationBuilder for Origin Data, while on a merchant account, it will say NationBuilder.

Enter the Integration's name, along with any notes, and then your Nation Slug, which is a valid NationBuilder subdomain.

Once you have entered this information, the Connect to NationBuilder button will turn green. Select this button to proceed.

If you are already logged into NationBuilder, there will be a brief delay before the integration is connected, and then it will automatically toggle as Active.

If not, you will be redirected to the NationBuilder login page. Enter your NationBuilder credentials; once you have done so, you will be redirected back to WinRed, and the Integration will display as Active.

Once the integration is active, select save to finish the setup.

Manage the Integration

For the NationBuilder, you will now see the option to edit the following fields.

  • List ID

  • Custom Person Fields

  • Custom Donation Fields

List ID

This field will now display, and you can enter any list ID from NationBulider.

Custom Person Fields

Here, you can add custom person fields by selecting the Add Custom Person Field button.

Once clicked, you will see the different options you can enter. A valid Custom Field and a Field value will be required to save.
