WinRed allows you to process internal donations utilizing a feature called Entry Mode. When using Entry Mode, your saved information will not populate into the donor fields even if you are logged into a WinRed account.

This allows staff to input donor information and process contributions on a donor's behalf. While it does not save the donor's information to your computer, it will save it for reporting purposes.

How to Use Entry Mode

We recommend using Entry Mode for the following purposes:

  • If you have a phone bank or other vendor processing donations on your behalf

  • Contributing on a donor's behalf if they are having trouble donating themselves

  • Processing donations at an event or meeting

  • Processing large dollar donations on High Dollar Pages

We recommend using Entry Mode in an Incognito mode or while logged out.

To turn your browser's Incognito mode, follow the instructions below.

Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.
Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.

Enable Entry Mode

Navigate to your Pages tab and then to the My Pages sub-tab. Click on one of your donation pages and navigate to the Page Setup tab. There you will see the Entry Mode toggle on the right side of the screen. Turn it on by toggling the green button next to it and pressing Save. Entry Mode is now enabled on your page.

To know when Entry Mode is enabled on a page, you will see a gold bar at the top (shown below).
