On High Dollar and Entry Mode pages, you can select if an email should or shouldn’t be required to complete a donation.
This is beneficial for internal processing or for donations where the donor's email address is not available.
How to Toggle the Field
To enable this, you can create a new High Dollar or Entry Mode page, or click on an existing one.
In the page builder, navigate to the Form Fields and scroll down to the bottom of the tab to the Require Email Field.
Toggle this field if an email address should be required for donors to complete their donation on the page.
What Happens if the Field Is Not Required
If this has been toggled to No, the email field on the donation form will no longer be required to be filled out and will display as optional on the page.
If the page is set to receive Business and/or PAC donations, the email address for the Business and/or PAC donor will be optional as well.
If there is no email associated with the donation, WinRed will create a unique email address that will be linked with that donation and that donation only.
As shown in the example below, the email address will be formatted with donor + the donation ID @winred.com.
