How to Cancel a Recurring Donation for a Donor

Sometimes, donors might want to cancel their subscriptions. You can assist them in this via your WinRed account. Read below to learn how.

Understanding the Subscription Tab

Click the Revenue tab and then click the Subscriptions sub-tab.

This is where you can view all subscriptions made to your organization. You can view Active or Canceled subscriptions by clicking the corresponding tab above the summary. You can also filter further by clicking the filter tool to the right of the download button.

The summary shows two different sections of data, Remaining this Month and Total Active. These will adjust as you filter.

The Remaining this Month box shows three fields of data:

  • Revenue - The total amount of revenue from all active subscriptions remaining for the month. Weekly subscriptions will count once. For example, a weekly $10.00 subscription will display as $10.00.

  • Average - The average dollar amount from all active subscriptions remaining for the month.

  • Subscriptions - The total number of subscriptions remaining for the month.

The Total Active section includes the following fields:

  • Revenue - The total amount of revenue from all active subscriptions.

  • Average - The average dollar amount from all active subscriptions.

  • Subscriptions - The total number of active subscriptions.

How to Cancel a Subscription


Search for the subscription you want to cancel using the donor’s name, email, or subscription ID. To narrow down your search, you can click the Filter tool next to the Download button. You can learn more about filtering by clicking here.

Select the three dots next to the subscription you would like to cancel and click View Details. 


You are now viewing the subscription’s details. In the top right, click the red Cancel Subscription button.

Click confirm when the confirmation message appears.

The subscription is now canceled. You can view all canceled subscriptions by clicking on  Canceled underneath the Subscriptions tab.
